3 Day Detox Diet - After 3 Days, You'll Rise Again

Having foreign substances and chemicals in our system is hard to avoid with the majority of lifestyles and in today's environment. Gratefully, our bodies have been created to react in remarkable ways to protect itself from these intruders. Usually it's the excretory organs that need to work extra hard to segregate, neutralize and dispose the toxins like the kidneys, liver, skin, and even the lungs. When toxins accumulate in our body it will cause a release of some form of chemical or chemicals and it can gradually mutate into cancers or other degenerative diseases.

 

We can never take back what we put into our bodies.  However, changing lifestyles can improve the proper functioning of vital body processes.  A detox program can be most helpful in ridding your body of impurities. Detoxification programs flushes out free radicals, promotes cell renewal, and strengthens the immune system in your body.  Even a 3-day detoxification diet can help in purging out damaging toxins. Ridding your body of toxins will make you feel so much better. 

Not all detox diet programs are suitable for everyone. A 3-day detox may be a milder way of detoxifying and testing the diet program. If you are planning a longer detox program you may consider consulting your doctor before you begin especially if you are underweight, malnourished or have chronic diseases such as cancer, kidney and liver disease, ulcerative colitis, iron-deficiency, anemia, as well as others.

 

The 3-day detox diet is a good quick start program toward detoxification. Each morning when you get up drink a cup of warm water and ½ lemon squeezed in it to stimulate your gastric juices instead of the usual cup of coffee.  With your meals include one cup of whole grains like brown rice, buckwheat, amaranth, and at least three servings each of fruits and vegetables. At least one of the servings of vegetables should be eaten raw, like carrots, celery, or cauliflower.  You could also fix yourself salads made out of fruits and vegetables but use vinegar or any natural virgin oils for the dressing.  Natural oils include olive, coconut virgin oils, or fish oil.

 

In addition to the above changes in your diet you need to have two doses of kidney and liver tonics over the 3-day detox diet period. Choose from the following kidney and liver tonics: two cups of dandelion, a clove of fresh garlic, chamomile or fennel tea, pure vegetable juice like carrot or beetroot, a medium bunch of black grapes, or two cups of parsley or yellow tea. And make it a habit to drink 8 glasses or more of water as well. You can count as your water intake other fluids made of fresh fruit juices such as apple and orange. Before going to bed drink a cup of herbal tea. The idea is to increase your fluid intake by ingesting more water, juices, fruits, and vegetables.

 

As part of your 3-day detox diet be sure to include a 30-minute walk within the program period. After the third day, you will surely feel rejuvenated and have more energy. You may want to do the 3-day detox diet again.  But remember that a change of lifestyle will ensure you continuous better health for the rest of your life.
